Mary Szatkowski-Pritikin, M.D.
Dr. Mary Szatkowski-Pritikin, M.D., earned her medical doctorate in 1972 from Loyola Stritch Medical School in Maywood, Illinois. Her post-doctoral training included an internship in internal medicine at Loyola University/Hines Veteran Administration, also in Maywood. She was the first woman to train in ophthalmology at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida. Dr. Szatkowski also completed fellowship training in oculoplastic surgery at the University of California - San Diego.
Dr. Szatkowski is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. She has published abstracts and participated in research studies, and has been a professor of ophthalmology at Rush Medical School since 1981.
